Meaning
The beauty of Devi's Chin is beyond any comparison and description. The appropriate word to describe "beyond comparison" is Anir-vachaneeya.
Interpretation
This is the beauty of a Name. We have come across Devi's hair, eyes, ears, nose, smile, ornaments etc. being compared to these and that, but in this Namah, the beauty of Devi's Chubukam (Chin) is mentioned as beyond any comparisons.
Adi Shankara not only portrays the beauty of Devi's chin as beyond any comparisons but adopts a unique method to explain it. Tava Chubukam Aupamya Rahitam – without comparison.
He uses two rasas the Vatsalya Rasam and Shingara Rasam to describe the Chin of Devi.
Himavan, the father of Devi Parvati, touches his daughter's Chin with profound affection - this is referred to as Vatsalya rasam. Lord Shiva, consort of Devi, touches Devi's Chin with an impatient, agitated mind and an extreme sense of desire, which the sage puts it as Shringara Rasam.
