Shuddha Vidya Ankura Kara Dhvija Paknti Dvayojvala
Meaning
The beauty of Devi is enhanced by her rows of wonderful teeth that evoke spiritualism and that resemble the sprouting of pure knowledge (Suddha Vidya).
Interpretation
Suddha means pure and here it refers to pure and complete knowledge (absolutely no trace of ignorance).
The word Vidya stands for the Shoda Sakshara Mantra. The mantra sprangs up from the Mooladhara of Devi. It covers various stages such as, Para, Pasyanti and finally emerges from her mouth passing through her divine teeth as Vaikhari and her teachings ultimately reach the ears of her pupils.
Like a seed growing into a sprout it also grows. That's why the word Ankura is used.
The word Dwija-Pankti stands for the 32 mantras constituting the Purna Diksha, or the complete initiation. To attain the feet of goddess Lalitha one should purify himself with the 32 initiations of Sri Vidya Upasana.
Some scholars opine that the word Dwija should be understood as Dwijanmi or the twice born or the Brahmins. Brahmins are considered the buds of Moolmantra of Sri Vidya. As Brahmims are believed to have come from the mouth of the god (Brahmanosya Mukhamaaseeth) they are compared to Devi's teeth.
प्रकृत्या रक्तायास्तव सुदति दन्तच्छदरुचेः
Adi Shankara in the above verse, says that Parashakti has beautiful white teeth. The beauty of Her white teeth is seen through Her parted lips, that are blood like red in complexion. Her lips are always parted because, She always smiles at Her devotees.
