LALITHA SAHASRANAMAM

श्रीमन् नगर नायिका (56)
Sriman Nagara Nayika (56)
Devi resides in a city called Sriman Nagara or simply Sri Nagara. She is the Nayika (Queen) of the palace where she resides.
Interpretation:
There are two narrations about Sri Nagara. One is found in Durvasa’s Lalitha Stava Ratnam and another in Rudra Yamala.
The former says that Sri Nagara was constructed by celestial architect Vishvakarma. Rudra Yamala says that Sri Nagara is in the midst of ocean of milk and is the most superior abode. By the way Rudra Yamala is a text considered most sacred by followers of Shaktism and Tantrik method of worship of Devi. It's in a Questions-Answers format with Lord Shiva in Bhairava form raising questions and Devi in Bhairavi form giving answers.
In Devi Bhagavatam a holy text composed by Ved Vyasa, the residence of Devi Lalitha Parameshwari is mentioned as Manidweepa. It may be noted Mani dweepa and Sri Nagara / Sri Pura are not different but one and the same.
Rishi Ved Vyasa mentions the location of Mani Dweepa to be an island in the middle of Ocean of Nectar called Sudha Samudra. He devotes an entire chapter describing Mani Dweepa in sloka form called Mani Dweepa Varnana.
Adi Shankara's Soundarya Lahari also mentions Mani Dweepa to be abode of Devi.
