Meaning
Devi is without worries.
Interpretation
Here again we have a namah with a negative prefix. Chinta here refers to worries or thoughts and Nis negates it. Nischinta therefore means Devi is without worries.
Na vidyate chinta yasyah sa
The word Chinta also means delusion. According to this interpretation the name means Devi is without any delusion. Reason? : Devi is beyond all these human feelings - She is Adi Para Shakti, She is Brahman. That's why Devi is without worries. Worries arise out of recollecting the past events.

In Sundara Kandam, part of Ramayan, Valmiki applies the word Chinta several times to express the deep concerns, worries and thoughts of Sri Hanuman during his search for Devi Seetha in Lanka.
Avekshamanah tam Devim Devatam iva nandane | Tato bahu vidham chintam Chintayamasa Vanarah ||
Thereafter, seeing Seetha Devi as a divine lady in the garden of Nandana, Hanuma echoed his thoughts in various ways.

The word Chinta in not just restricted to Sanskrit texts alone but also finds mention in the work of universal greats such as Saint Kabir and Guru Nanak Dev.
Chinta se chaturai ghate is a famous quote by Saint Kabir. Worries erode your intelligence, starts saying the saint and goes on to add sadness, deteriorate health and greed vanishes wealth. The inference to be drawn from this is one should do away from getting worried.

O Nanak, don't be worried; Waheguru will worry for you is the literal meaning of the above quote. In the following lines the greatness of the Almighty is elaborated as : Life sustains life; this is what Waheguru has given as food. He created life in the oceans, and He provides for them as well.
