सर्व-तन्त्ररूपा (206)

Sarva Tantra Rupa (206)

Meaning:

Devi is in the form of all tantra-s.  There are various types of tantra-s and Devi is the focal point in all these tantra-s.

Interpretation:

Agai, in this Namah Sarva stands for the entire thing and Rupa for Devi is in that form. The term Tantra is explained below:

Tantra is a specific method  of worship which stands for the progressive realization of the Divine Energy. It liberates one from the cimmerian darkness and leads unto the divine effulgence. It is a path of Salvation. It should be understood along with the other two relevant terms Yantra and Mantra which have already been discussed.

Quote from Rig Veda:

We find the following verse in Rig Veda in which the term Tantra has been used to mean a doctrine, a system or a treatise.

Kularnava Tantra

The "Kularnava Tantra" is a major text in the Kula tradition of Shaktism and Tantric Shaivism. The term comes from the Sanskrit, Kula, meaning “family” or “clan”; Arnava, meaning “ocean” or “sea”; and Tantra, which is a Hindu ritual or mystical text. It is typically translated as “Ocean of the Kula.”

Adi Shankara on Tantra

The Prapanchasara Tantra is a celebrated Tantrik text generally attributed to Shri Shankaracharya.

Prapancha means the 5 basic elements of our Universe - Sky, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Prapanchasara Tantra is therefore the Science of the Essence of the five basic Elemental Principles.

Author's Notes:

Tantra is a philosophy belonging to a very high level. It should be clearly understood that it is not meant for ordinary / common individuals.

The goal of Tantra is to retrace the path from the manifestation (Shakti) to the source (Shiva).

Shakti is used as the vehicle to reunite the individual with the supreme experience that is samadhi, nirvana and the various other names for attaining unity across traditions. The goal of tantra is to lead you, the individual or the jiva, to the patam atman or the supreme.

The term Tantra is also connected with the physical Union of Shiva and Shakti which the author doesn't want to discuss in this forum.
